You should check your car manual or call your dealership to check on when the cars service intervals are and keep a note in your diary – your service intervals are a series of mileage milestones when reached your car needs to be checked

A car service is very important to make sure that your car is going to be safe to drive on the road. By having an annual service it will help to prolong the life of your vehicle by highlighting any minor problems before they turn into major and costly things to rectify. You can either choose an interim or a full service – the interim service is done on a 6 monthly basis and would be recommended for women who do a lot of driving each year.

There are many different checks that are undertaken when a car is serviced and these can include checking:

• The condition of the tyres and wheels
• The battery
• The oil, air and fuel filters
• The car’s suspension and steering
